jabriya Salons - Betty Boop

When I have an occasion, going out or bat3asha with friends ..

and I need to get my hair done..

Betty Boop is one of the first salons I call to see if I can book in an appointment.

ALL the hairstylists are great

Nazi, Mariam, Daleila, Hanan

I recently got a voucher for a massage and also got a coupon to get a blow dry

Even though the coupon says blowdry with Anisa,

you can either get your hair done with Anisa or Hanan.

I like Hanans work..  Heres how the Blowdry turned out

                                                

Also when I need an updo and shrein in fully booked, my second option is always Betty Boop!

on to the massage.. Gishas massage is really good if you like lots of pressure; her hand is very strong.
Her technique and the way she massaged is really smooth, I felt she was using a machine at 1 point..
Since betty boop is not just a massage place, the atmoshere of the room was ok, not as relaxing as say something like .. Spa time

Priya is also good for brows and I like muthaweeys make-up

I've tried their nail spa, and I dont recommend it at all.. gave them more than one chance and never was impressed

So I guess Betty Boop is one of those few salons where you can get everything done well, in 1 place!

Newspaper nails

The other night I was watching this video on Youtube on how to get newspaper nail art,
                                                                                                                                         its pretty cool..

I think it was a featured video or something

because I dont usually watch nail videos..

 and Im not sure how I got there!

Well anyway, looks like I wasnt the only person watching it that night because I wake up the very next moring and the next thing I see is a few nail salons posting pics on Twitter and FB with newspaper nail art and they've added a tag saying something like "You saw it first here"!!

ummmm lol? No I saw it first on YOUTUBE!

Its funny how nail spas copy and then start acting like trendsetters!

GYM- Stretch Fitness

I never really talk about gyms I joins because I usually just go for the first few days,
 but this gym was different and I highly recommend it

...

recently I joined Stretch fitness, its a new gym that opened at the beginning of this year in the new complex infront of geant easy in salmiya

I went to have a look at it and even though many people dont like their location, I kinda liked it

I also liked how clean the gym was,

how its really big o shar7,

not too crowded,

the equipment they have are very advanced and I have not seen them at any gym before,

classes they offer,

their pool

and the price.

They have over 80 cardio machines including treadmils, bikes, stair master, steppers and rowing all equipted with TV's

Semi- Olympic indoor pool

I loveee the pool and its so clean!

their squash court was built by McWil which is a world wide recognized brand 

  

they also have a spa and a VIP gym which includes "milon curcuit" equipment

Classes they offer are:

I got a few interesting products I cant wait to use

• Nexxus pro-mend split end binding leave in treatment creme

Theres a whole line on this nexus split end binding stuff;

I just have the leave in treatment creme for now, If I like it.. Ill get the rest of the line..

This is the birthday girl speaking!!

well it was my birthday on wednesday but im still celebrating :P

I didn't do anything crazy or different other than celebrated my birthday 3 times so far
June 7th I had dinner with the family at lorenzo
June 8th I had dinner at OFK with friends
and June 9th I had lunch at pizzetta
o inshallah I will be blowing out candles 1 more time this year!!

Whiter teeth

Im not a tea or coffee person so my teeth are already kind of white 

and I have used crest 14 days whitning strips years ago and some useless whitening gels

Now I've decided to whiten my teeth a shade or 2,

so I visited a few dentists seeing what they would recommend/ suggest..

anyway I took non of the dentists advice ;P and I decided to just clean my teeth and then decide if I needed to do any of the advanced whitning stuff..

So I went and got my teeth cleaned

(you should be doing this every 6 or so months)

at one of the priate clinics but the mstaw9af is just as good.. and I did see a bit of a diffrence..

and then a day after (today) I got my Crest 2 hours whitning strips
(They're awsome if you want to see fast results)

Each whitestip box contains 4 packets but you can only use 1 every 3+ months

The strips are really thick! unline the old ones crest used to make,

theyre very firm and stick to the teeth very well!

Left the strips on for 2 hours and Im happy with the results!

Crest strips are the best in whitning!

I got the strips from Bed Bath & Beyond NY for $34.

Nail stickers

Remember the minx or sticker nails I got from mbarkia a while back?
well, I finally tried them

I know I made a mess but it is my first attempt! :P I'll try again

I used a lamp to get the sticker warm but I think it would have been better to use a blowdryer

  while I was doing my nails,

I was watching J-lo's "Im into you" vid o at 00:15 where they put on her nails,

 tithakart wa7da who usually has the exact zebra/ stripe stickers on her nails!

she told me that she gets her stickers from jam3iyat ilgrain (3)

for just 1 KD

I also found stickers at mujamma3 il9aloonat or lothaina or whatever you wana call it

3nd il nsaem...

whats funny is what they named them!!!

what I hate about these stickers or minx is that when u remove them, you damage your nail ..

A hair post

Hi All

lets start with a story :D

     Once upon a time, there was this girl with me at uni who had gorgeous hair.. she happened to be a freinds friend so I asked my friend to ask her where does she dyes her hair??

chan my freind says hathi nou3ha matgool! my friend continued by saying .. her skin is always tanned o she has tan streaks in winter and when I asked her what tanning product do you use? she replied with " this is my natural colour!"

My friend didnt bother asking her about her hair for me and later I find out that shes related to one of my cousins!! I liked this girls hair color! So I let my auntie ask her where she dyes her hair.. ya3ni my auntie is a little old .. why would she not wana tell her? she told her shes goes to cutting edge with Diana

anyway i went to cutting edge o they dont have any Diana there and never did :)

last year I dyed my hair at this salon in kuwait and probably the best hair color I ever had!!

then my roots started growing and I was about to dye it then  it came out the " ombre hair " .

recently I decided to re-dye my hair since my b-day is comming up soon.. I need to look fresh...

              I traveled for a very quick trip got my hair colored and came back...

the color was a little too light and it was gona get lighter and lighter with each wash..

and darker suited me more so instead of re-dying it I just did a rinsage..

and lately im loving my hair, it looks healthy and the color is PERFECT !!

Im also loving this new hair style that I do at this one salon ;p ..
