Theres 3 steps any skin type must do each day in order to get the most of of their skin
which are:
Cleanse: Im sure everyone cleanses ;p cleansing removes oil, any make up on your face and keeps your skin feeling fresh and clean
Tone :after cleansing your face, fill a cotton with your tonic and then gently pat the cotton on your face.
The toner removes excess oil and impurities.
active ingredients in toners are: salycilic Acid, glycolic acid, witch hazel...
Moisturize: After cleansing and toning your skin, your skin gets a little dry therefore you must moisturize afterwards. People with oily skin skip moisturizer and thats a big common mistaker , for people with oily skin, get an oil-free moisturizer (like the neutrogena ones)
What Im Using (these are all recommended by my DR.):
Cleanser:
Soskin fel cleanser with cucumber
Soskin fel cleanser with cucumber
Toner:
this is the KoKo one
Moisturizer:
my moisturizer is a 5al6ah made by my DR that is for my skin type
These are the MUST DO in every skin care, just make sure you find the right products for your skin type.

Great advice specially for oily skin skipping moisturizing trend. Soskin products are decent, and you can never go wrong with Avene if you have oily skin. I think using the full line of a single brand will cause better synergistic results instead of combining multiple brands.
Touche- I agree, It is better to stay on the safe side and probably more effective by using one brand but if you know about the ingedients of the the products you can mix and match
